عمر بن ثابت الأنصاري، عن أبي أيوب
Umar bin Thabit al-Ansari from Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3901 — he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ سَلَمٍ الرَّازِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ثنا وَرْقَاءُ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ، وَأَتْبَعَهُ بِسِتٍّ مِنْ شَوَّالٍ فَذَلِكَ صِيَامُ سَنَةٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Ayyub (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six fasts of Shawwal, that is equal to fasting a year."
