Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3807 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ visited

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) visited Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she presented to him a lizard cooked with dates. Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her) said: "Tell the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) before he eats." When he (peace and blessings be upon him) was told, he (peace and blessings be upon him) withheld his hand from it. The people said: "O Messenger of Allah, is it forbidden?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, but I have an aversion to it." So Khalid bin al-Walid (may Allah be pleased with him) drew it towards himself and ate it while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was watching him.
