حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا أَبُو عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمُقْرِئُ، ثنا أَبُو حَنِيفَةَ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فِي الْمَسْحِ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ: «لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةُ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ، وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمٌ وَلَيْلَةٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said regarding wiping over the leather socks (khuffs): "For the traveller three days and three nights, and for the resident it is one day and one night."
