حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، ثنا حَمَّادٌ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَمْسَحُ الْمُسَافِرُ عَلَى الْخُفَّيْنِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيهِنَّ، وَالْمُقِيمُ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The traveller may wipe over the leather socks (khuffs) for three days and three nights, and the resident for one day and one night."
