Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3747 — The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fixed three days

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ حَمَّادٍ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ، عَنْ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، قَالَ: «جَعَلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ لِلْمُسَافِرِ، وَيَوْمًا لِلْمُقِيمِ»
Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed three days for the traveller and one day for the resident.
