Muhammad bin Usamah bin Zayd narrates from his father, Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: When the illness of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) became severe, I and the other people came down to Madinah. I went in to him (peace and blessings be upon him) while he (peace and blessings be upon him) was silent and not speaking, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) began raising his hand towards the sky and then lowering it upon me, so I understood that he (peace and blessings be upon him) was supplicating for me.
