حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَعْمَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي رَجَاءٍ الْعَبَّادَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: كَانَ أَبِي كَافًّا سِلَاحَهُ يَوْمَ الْجَمَلِ وَصِفِّينَ، فَلَمَّا قُتِلَ عَمَّارُ اسْتَلَّ سَيْفَهُ وَقَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «تَقْتُلُ عَمَّارًا الْفِئَةُ الْبَاغِيَةُ»
Umarah bin Khuzaymah (may Allah have mercy on him) said: My father, Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), kept his weapon sheathed on the days of the Battle of the Camel and Siffin. Then, when Sayyiduna Ammar (may Allah be pleased with him) was martyred, he drew his sword from its sheath and said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Ammar will be killed by the rebellious party."
