حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا هُدْبَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ، ثنا سُرَيْجُ بْنُ النُّعْمَانِ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيِّ، عَنْ عُمَارَةَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَنَّهُ: رَأَى كَأَنَّهُ يَسْجُدُ عَلَى جَبْهَةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَخْبَرَهُ فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «اجْلِسْ وَاسْجُدْ وَاصْنَعْ كَمَا رَأَيْتَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Khuzaymah bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw (in a dream) as though he were prostrating on the forehead of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). So he came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to him: "Sit down and prostrate, and do just as you saw."
