Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3664 — We feared that the worldly things we have

حَدَّثَنَا الْمِقْدَامُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، ثنا أَسَدُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ حَارِثَةَ، عَنْ خَبَّابٍ قَالَ: «لَقَدْ خَشِينَا أَنْ يَذْهَبَ بِأُجُورِنا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَا أَصَبْنَا بَعْدَهُ مِنَ الدُّنْيَا»
Sayyiduna Khabbab (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "We feared that the worldly things we have obtained after the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) would take away the rewards we earned (by being) with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)."
