حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَظِيمِ الْعَنْبَرِيُّ، ثنا النَّضْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي مَخْشِيُّ بْنُ حُجَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ فَقَالَ: «يَا أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ أَيُّ بَلَدٍ هَذَا؟» ، قَالُوا: بَلَدٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: «فَأَيُّ شَهْرٍ هَذَا؟» ، قَالُوا: شَهْرٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: «فَأَيُّ يَوْمٍ هَذَا؟» ، قَالُوا: يَوْمٌ حَرَامٌ، قَالَ: «أَلَا إِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ وَأَعْرَاضَكُمْ عَلَيْكُمْ حَرَامٌ كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا كَشَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا كَحُرْمَةِ بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا، فَلْيُبَلِّغْ شَاهِدُكُمْ غَائِبَكُمْ لَا تَرْجِعُوا بَعْدِي كُفَّارًا يَضْرِبُ بَعْضُكُمْ رِقَابَ بَعْضٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hujayr (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered a sermon during the Farewell Hajj and said: "O people! Which city is this?" The people said: A sacred city. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Which month is this?" The people said: A sacred month. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Which day is this?" The people said: A sacred day. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Listen! Your blood, your wealth and your honour are sacred to you, just as the sanctity of this day of yours, like this month of yours, like the sanctity of this city of yours. So let the one who is present convey it to the one who is absent. Do not become disbelievers after me, striking one another's necks."
