حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ عُرْوَةَ: «فِي تَسْمِيَةِ مَنِ اسْتُشْهِدَ يَوْمَ أُحُدٍ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَنْظَلَةُ بْنُ أَبِي عَامِرِ بْنِ صَيْفِيِّ بْنِ نُعْمَانَ غَسِيلُ الْمَلَائِكَةِ»
Urwah narrates, while naming those who were martyred on the day of Uhud with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): Sayyiduna Hanzalah bin Abi Amir bin Sayfi bin Nu'man (may Allah be pleased with him), Ghasil al-Mala'ikah (the one whom the angels washed).
