It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qatadah (may Allah be pleased with him) that Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Ma'rur (may Allah be pleased with him) bequeathed a third of his wealth to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), for him (peace and blessings be upon him) to spend wherever he wished, and "the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) returned it to his children."
