Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 3161 — Whenever the Prophet ﷺ performed

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ وَالثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ بْنِ الْحَكَمِ، أَوِ الْحَكَمِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ الثَّقَفِيِّ، «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا تَوَضَّأَ أَخَذَ كَفًّا مِنْ مَاءٍ فَنَضَحَ بِهِ فَرْجَهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Hakam bin Sufyan al-Thaqafi, or Sufyan bin al-Hakam, (may Allah be pleased with him) that "Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution, he would take a handful of water and sprinkle it over his private part."
