Sayyiduna Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Wealth came from Bahrain, so the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) called al-Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) and gave him a double handful. Then he said: "Shall I give you more?" He said: Yes. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him another double handful, then said: "Shall I give you more?" He said: Yes. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him another double handful, then said: "Shall I give you more?" He said: Yes. So he (peace and blessings be upon him) gave him another double handful, then said: "Shall I give you more?" He said: Yes. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Leave something for those after you as well." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) called me and gave me a double handful, and I said: O Messenger of Allah, is this good for me or bad for me? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No, rather it is bad for you." So I returned to him (peace and blessings be upon him) what he had given me, then I said: No! By the One in whose Hand is my soul, I will not accept a gift from anyone after you. Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Hakim (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Then I said: O Messenger of Allah, supplicate to Allah Almighty that He grant me blessing. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, bless the dealings of his hand."
