Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 312 — I heard Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas say: I am

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سَعْدَ بْنَ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ، يَقُولُ: «إِنِّي لَأَوَّلُ رَجُلٍ مُسْلِمٍ رَمَى بِسَهْمٍ فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
Qays said: I heard Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) say: "I am the first Muslim who shot an arrow in the path of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic."
