Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 302 — Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas passed away
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، ثنا أَبِي، ثنا نُوحُ بنُ يَزِيدَ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، قَالَ: «تُوُفِّيَ سَعْدُ بْنُ أَبِي وَقَّاصٍ فِي زَمَنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، بَعْدَ حَجَّتِهِ الْأُولَى، وَهُوَ ابْنُ ثَلَاثٍ وَثَمَانِينَ»
Ibrahim bin Sa'd said: Sa'd bin Abi Waqqas (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the time of Mu'awiyah (may Allah be pleased with him), after his first Hajj, and at that time he was eighty-three (83) years old.
