حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، يَقُولُ: «مَاتَ سَعْدٌ، وَمَرْوَانُ وَالِي الْمَدِينَةِ، فَصَلَّى عَلَيْهِ، وَمَاتَ سَنَةَ خَمْسٍ وَخَمْسِينَ»
Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Numayr said: When Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) died, Marwan was the governor of Madinah, and he led his funeral prayer; he died in the year 55 AH.
