Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2950 — from Hamzah al-Aslami that he said

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَصُومُ، أفَأَصُومُ فِي السَّفَرِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ»

Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates from Hamzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): "I am a man who fasts; shall I fast while travelling?" He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, fast, and if you wish, break the fast."
