Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2898 — One of the wives of Sayyiduna Husayn

Habib bin Abi Thabit narrates: One of the wives of Sayyiduna Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) prepared food on one of his lands. He ate, and then the food was taken away. Then a freed slave of his came, so he called for food for him. He said: O Abu Abdullah! I do not want it. Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) asked: Why? He said: We ate a short while ago at the house of Ubaydullah bin Abbas. At this Husayn (may Allah be pleased with him) said: His father was the chief of Quraysh; indeed, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O descendants of Abd al-Muttalib! Feed others, and speak good words."
