حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ هَاشِمٍ الْبَغَوِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ حَمْدَانَ الْحَنَفِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الصَّيْرَفِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ هَاشِمٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَطَاءٍ، عَنِ الْبَهْزِيِّ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ الْحُسَيْنَ بْنَ عَلِيٍّ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ تَشَهُّدِ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، فَقَالَ: هُوَ تَشَهُّدُ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ. قُلْتُ: فَتَشَهُّدُ عَبْدِ اللهِ؟ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُخَفِّفَ عَلَى أُمَّتِهِ. فَقُلْتُ: كَيْفَ تَشَهَّدَ عَلِيٌّ بِتَشَهُّدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ؟ قَالَ: «التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلَّهِ، وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ الْغَادِيَاتُ الرَّائِحاتُ الزَّاكِيَاتُ الطَّاهِرَاتُ لِلَّهِ»
Al-Bahzi narrates: I asked Sayyiduna Husayn bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) about the tashahhud of Sayyiduna Ali (may Allah be pleased with him), and he said: It is the tashahhud of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). I said: Then what about the tashahhud of Abdullah (bin Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him)? He said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) loved to make things easy for his Ummah. I said: How did Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) recite the tashahhud according to the tashahhud of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)? He said: "All verbal worship belongs to Allah, and all bodily worship and pure words, those of the morning and the evening, growing and pure, all belong to Allah."
