Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2709 — A man has departed from you whom none

Sayyiduna al-Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "A man has departed from you whom none of those before surpassed in knowledge, and whom none of those after will attain. Whenever the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) sent him, he would give him the banner; then he would set out and not return until Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, granted him victory. Jibril on his right and Mika'il on his left would fight alongside him. He died leaving neither a dinar nor a dirham, except jewellery worth seven hundred dirhams that was left over from his stipend."
