Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 2670 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O people

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْفَضْلِ السَّقَطِيُّ، ثنا سَعِيدُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، وَزَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى السَّاجِيُّ، قَالَا: ثنا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْوَشَّاءُ، ثنا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْأَنْمَاطِيُّ، ثنا مَعْرُوفُ بْنُ خَرَّبُوذَ، عَنْ أَبِي الطُّفَيْلِ، عَنْ حُذَيْفَةَ بْنِ أَسِيدٍ الْغِفَارِيِّ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «أَيُّهَا النَّاسُ، إِنِّي فَرَطٌ لَكُمْ، وَارِدُونَ عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ، حَوْضٌ أَعْرَضُ مَا بَيْنَ صَنْعَاءَ وَبُصْرَى، فِيهِ عَدَدُ النُّجُومِ قِدْحانٌ مِنْ فِضَّةٍ، وَإِنِّي سَائِلُكُمْ حِينَ تَرِدُونَ عَلَيَّ عَنِ الثَّقَلَيْنِ، فَانْظُرُوا كَيْفَ تَخْلُفُونِي فِيهِمَا؟ السَّبَبُ الْأَكْبَرُ كِتَابُ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ، سَبَبٌ طَرَفُهُ بِيَدِ اللهِ، وَطَرَفُهُ بِأَيْدِيكُمْ، فاسْتَمْسِكُوا بِهِ، وَلَا تَضِلُّوا وَلَا تُبَدِّلُوا، وَعِتْرَتِي أَهْلُ بَيْتِي، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ نَبَّأَنِيَ اللَّطِيفُ الْخَبِيرُ أَنَّهُمَا لَنْ يَنْقَضِيَا حَتَّى يَرِدَا عَلَيَّ الْحَوْضَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Hudhayfah bin Asid al-Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O people, I will go ahead of you (to the Pool), and you will come to me at the Pool, a Pool wider than the distance between San'a' and Busra, in which are cups of silver as numerous as the stars. When you come to me, I will ask you about the two weighty things (al-thaqalayn), so see how you treat them after me. The greater rope is the Book of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, one end of which is in the Hand of Allah and the other end in your hands; so hold fast to it, and do not go astray and do not change it. And my 'itrah (kin), my household; for the Subtle, the All-Aware (Allah) has informed me that these two will never come to an end until they come to me at the Pool."
