حَدَّثَنَا سَهْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى شِيرَانُ الرَّامَهُرْمُزِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي صَفْوَانَ الثَّقَفِيُّ، ثنا قُرَيْشُ بْنُ أَنَسٍ، ثنا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ: خَطَبَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا إِلَى مَنْظُورِ بْنِ سَيَّارِ بْنِ رَيَّانَ الْفَزَارِيِّ ابْنَتَهُ، فَقَالَ: «وَاللهِ إِنِّي لَأُنْكِحُكَ وَإِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ أَنَّكَ غَلِقٌ طَلِقٌ مَلِقٌ، غَيْرَ أَنَّكَ أَكْرَمُ الْعَرَبِ بَيْتًا، وأَكْرَمُهُ نَسَبًا»
Muhammad (bin Sirin) said: Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with them both) asked Manzur bin Sayyar bin Rayyan al-Fazari for his daughter's hand in marriage, and he (Manzur) said: "By Allah, I will marry (my daughter) to you, even though I know that you are quick to anger, quick to divorce and given to flattery; yet you are the noblest of the Arabs in household and the noblest in lineage."
