حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ فُسْتُقَةُ، ثنا دَاوُدُ بْنُ رُشَيْدٍ، عَنِ الْهَيْثَمِ بْنِ عَدِيٍّ، قَالَ: «هَلَكَ الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ سَنَةَ أَرْبَعٍ وَأَرْبَعِينَ» . هَكَذَا قَالَ الْهَيْثَمُ بْنُ عَدِيٍّ، وَخُولِفَ
Al-Haytham bin Adi said: "Sayyiduna Hasan bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) passed away in the year 44 AH." Al-Haytham bin Adi said it like this, but he has been contradicted (that is, others have reported otherwise).
