حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ قُتَيْبَةَ، ثنا أَيُّوبُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، ثنا زِيَادُ بْنُ سَيَّارٍ، عَنْ عَزَّةَ بِنْتِ عِيَاضٍ، قَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا قِرْصَافَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «ابْنُوا الْمَسَاجِدَ وَأَخْرِجُوا الْقُمَامَةَ مِنْهَا، فَمَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا بَنَى اللهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ» . قَالَ رَجُلٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، وَهَذِهِ الْمَسَاجِدُ الَّتِي تُبْنَى فِي الطَّرِيقِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، وَإِخْرَاجُ الْقُمَامَةِ مِنْهَا مُهُورُ حُورِ الْعِينِ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Qirsafah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Build mosques and remove the rubbish from them. Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise." A man said: O Messenger of Allah, and these mosques that are built along the road (do they have the same ruling)? He said: "Yes, and removing the rubbish from them is the dowry of the wide-eyed maidens of Paradise (hur al-in)."
