حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَوْدِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: " أَوَّلُ مَنْ سَلَّ سَيْفًا فِي سَبِيلِ اللهِ: الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ "
Hisham bin Urwah narrates from his father; he said: The first person to draw a sword in the path of Allah was al-Zubayr bin al-Awwam.
