حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَرْعَرَةَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: «صَحِبْتُ جَرِيرًا فَكَانَ يَخْدُمُنِي» وَكَانَ أَكْبَرَ مِنْ أَنَسٍ، وَقَالَ جَرِيرٌ: «إِنِّي رَأَيْتُ الْأَنْصَارَ يَصْنَعُونَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ شَيْئًا لَا أَرَى أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ إِلَّا أَكْرَمْتُهُ»
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I accompanied Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him), and he used to serve me, although he was older than Anas. And Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "I saw the Ansar treat the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) in such a way that I never see any one of them without honouring him."
