حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيِّ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقَطِرَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الطُّفَيْلِ، ح، وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، قَالُوا:، ثنا شَرِيكٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ جَبَلَةَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا لَمْ يَغْزُ أَعْطَى سِلَاحَهُ عَلِيًّا أَوْ أُسَامَةَ رَضِي اللهُ عَنْهُمَا»
Sayyiduna Jabalah bin Harithah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not go out on a military expedition himself, he would give his weapons to Sayyiduna Ali or Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with them both).
