حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ، ثنا مَحْبُوبُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ أَبِي هِنْدَ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ حَكِيمٍ بِنْتُ الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهَا «كَانَتْ تَصْنَعُ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ طَعَامًا وَتَبْعَثُ بِهِ إِلَيْهِ، وَرُبَّمَا أَتَاهَا، فَأَكَلَ عِنْدَهَا، فَزَعَمَتْ أَنَّهُ أَتَاهَا ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ، فَأَتَتْهُ بِكَتِفٍ، فَجَعَلَتْ تَسُحُّهَا لَهُ وَزَعَمَتْ أَنَّهُ أَكَلَ وَصَلَّى، وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Hakim bint al-Zubayr (may Allah be pleased with her) that she used to prepare food for the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and send it to him (peace and blessings be upon him), and sometimes he (peace and blessings be upon him) would come to her himself and eat at her home. She related that one day he (peace and blessings be upon him) came to her, and she brought a shoulder of meat before him (peace and blessings be upon him) and began cutting it up piece by piece and giving it to him (peace and blessings be upon him). And she related that he (peace and blessings be upon him) ate and prayed, and did not perform ablution.
