حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الْقَاسِمِ بْنِ غَنَّامٍ، عَنْ بَعْضِ أُمَّهَاتِهِ أَوْ جَدَّاتِهِ، عَنْ أُمِّ فَرْوَةَ، وَكَانَتْ قَدْ بَايَعَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَتْ: سُئِلَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ؟ قَالَ: «الصَّلَاةُ فِي أَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Farwah (may Allah be pleased with her), and she had pledged allegiance to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); she said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: Which deed is most excellent? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Performing the prayer at the beginning of its time."
