Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 21604 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: A woman

حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانٍ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا تُحِدُّ الْمَرْأَةُ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ، إِلَّا عَلَى زَوْجِهَا، فَإِنَّهَا تُحِدُّ أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا، وَلَا تَلْبَسُ ثَوْبًا مَصْبُوغًا، إِلَّا ثَوْبًا مَغْسُولًا وَلَا تَكْتَحِلُ وَلَا تَخْتَضِبُ، وَلَا تَمَسُّ طِيبًا، إِلَّا إِذَا طَهُرَتْ مِنْ حَيْضِهَا بَعْدَهُ مِنْ قُسْطٍ أَوْ أَظْفَارٍ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A woman should not mourn for more than three days for anyone except her husband; for her husband she mourns four months and ten days. She should not wear dyed clothing except a washed garment, nor apply kohl, nor use henna, nor touch perfume, except that when becoming pure after her menstruation she may use qust or azfar (a light fragrance)."
