حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْإِصْطَخْرِيُّ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ الْكَرْمَانِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، ثنا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الرَّازِيُّ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ حَسَّانٍ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ حَفْصَةَ بِنْتِ سِيرِينَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَتْ: " أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُخْرِجَ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ الْعَوَاتِقَ، وَذَوَاتِ الْخُدُورِ، وَالْحُيَّضَ فَأَمَّا الْحُيَّضُ فَيَعْتَزِلْنَ الصَّلَاةَ، وَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ، وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، فَقَالَتِ امْرَأَةٌ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ فَإِذَا كَانَتْ إِحْدَانَا لَيْسَ لَهَا جِلْبَابٌ؟ قَالَ: «تُلْبِسُهَا أُخْتُهَا جِلْبَابَهَا»
Hafsah bint Sirin (may Allah have mercy on her) narrates from Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), who said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) commanded us to bring out, on the day of Eid al-Fitr, the young unmarried girls, the women kept in seclusion and the menstruating women. As for the menstruating women, they would keep away from the prayer but would attend the good and the supplication of the Muslims. A woman said: O Messenger of Allah! What do you think if one of us does not have an outer cloak? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let her sister clothe her with her cloak."
