حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، أنا عِمْرَانُ الْقَطَّانُ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ، حَدَّثَتْنَا أُمُّ عَطِيَّةَ الْأَنْصَارِيَّةُ، قَالَتْ: وَقَدْ غَزَوْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ غَزَوَاتٍ، كُنَّا نَقُومُ عَلَى الْكَلْمَى، وَنُدَاوِي الْجَرْحَى، فَقُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِحْدَانَا تَخْرُجُ مَعَ النَّاسِ يَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ، وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ، قَالَتْ فَسَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَقُولُ: «تُخْرِجْنَ الْعَوَاتِقَ، وَذَوَاتَ الْخُدُورِ وَالْحُيَّضَ، فَيَشْهَدْنَ الْخَيْرَ وَدَعْوَةَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ» ، قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِحْدَانَا لَا يَكُونُ لَهَا ثَوْبٌ؟ قَالَ: تُلْبِسُهَا أُخْتُهَا مِنْ ثَوْبِهَا "
Muhammad bin Sirin (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Sayyidah Umm Atiyyah al-Ansariyyah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to us; she said: I took part in several military expeditions with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). We would attend to the wounded and treat them. I said: O Messenger of Allah, may one of us go out with the people on the day of Eid al-Fitr and the day of Eid al-Adha? I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Let the young unmarried girls, the secluded women and the menstruating women go out too, so that they may witness the good and the supplication of the Muslims." I said: O Messenger of Allah, what if one of us has no garment? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Let her sister clothe her from her own garment."
