حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ثنا عَمِّي، ثنا أَبِي، عَنْ صَالِحِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُتْبَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَنَّ أُمَّهُ أُمَّ الْفَضْلِ بِنْتَ الْحَارِثِ، أَخْبَرَتْهُ أَنَّهَا، «سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْمُرْسَلَاتِ عُرْفًا، ثُمَّ مَا صَلَّى حَتَّى قَبَضَهُ اللهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ»
Sayyidah Umm al-Fadl bint al-Harith (may Allah be pleased with her) told her son Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both): I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) recite Wal-mursalati 'urfa in Maghrib; after that he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pray any prayer until Allah Almighty took his (peace and blessings be upon him) soul.
