حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْخَفَّافُ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ثنا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عِيَاضُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مَخْرَمَةَ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ كُرَيْبٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَتْنِي أُمُّ هَانِئٍ بِنْتُ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، أَنَّهَا أَجَارَتْ رَجُلًا مِنَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ، فَأَتَتِ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَذَكَرَتْ ذَلِكَ لَهُ فَقَالَ: «قَدْ أَجَرْنَا مَنْ أَجَرْتِ، وَأَمَّنَّا مَنْ أَمَّنْتِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: Umm Hani bint Abi Talib (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated to me that on the day of the Conquest (of Makkah) she granted protection to a man from among the polytheists. Then she came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and mentioned this to him, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "We have granted protection to the one to whom you granted protection, and we have granted safety to the one to whom you granted safety."
