Sayyidah Rawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated: I was a young servant girl of a woman in Madinah. When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) emigrated from Makkah to Madinah, my mistress said to me: Rawdah! Stand at the door of the house, and when this man passes by, let me know. So I stood there, and the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came to them with a few of his Companions. I took hold of the edge of his cloak, and he smiled at me (Shaybah said: I think he passed his hand over my head). Then I said to my mistress: O so-and-so! That man has come. So my mistress and everyone who was with her in the house came out, "and he presented Islam to them, and they accepted Islam."
Shaybah narrated that Rawdah (may Allah be pleased with her) lived with her in the house among Banu Sulaym. Whenever the neighbours bought a slave, a servant, a garment or food, they would say to her: O Rawdah! Place your hand on it. And whatever she touched would be blessed.
