Abu Ja'far al-Khatmi (may Allah have mercy on him) said: We were in Madinah on the day of Ashura, and the girls were beating the daff and singing. Then Sayyidah al-Rubayyi' (bint Mu'awwidh) (may Allah be pleased with her) came to us, and we mentioned this to her. She said: "On the morning of my wedding the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) came to me, and with me were two girls who were singing and lamenting my forefathers who were martyred on the day of Badr, and they were saying:
'And among us is a Prophet who knows what will happen tomorrow.'
So he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'As for this, (do not say it); rather say: No one knows what will happen tomorrow except Allah, the Mighty and Majestic.'"
