ثنا عَلَيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا الزُّبَيْرُ بْنُ بَكَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُنْذِرِ، حَدَّثَنِي الْوَاقِدِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي شُعَيْبُ بْنُ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ الصِّدِّيقُ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهَا، أَنَّهَا رَأَتْ رَجُلًا مَارًّا، وَهِي فِي هَوْدَجِهَا فَقَالَتْ: «مَا رَأَيْتُ رَجُلًا أَشْبَهَ بِأَبِي بَكْرٍ مِنْ هَذَا» ، فَقِيلَ لَهَا: صِفِي لَنَا أَبَا بَكْرٍ، فَقَالَتْ: «كَانَ رَجُلًا أَبْيَضَ نَحِيفًا خَفِيفَ الْعَارِضَيْنِ، أحْنَا لَا تَسْتَمْسِكُ إِزْرَتُهُ، تَسْتَرْخِي عَنْ حَقْوَيْهِ، مَعْرُوقَ الْوَجْهِ، غَائِرَ الْعَيْنَيْنِ، نَاتِئَ الْجَبْهَةِ، عَارِيَ الْأشَاجِعِ هَذِهِ صِفَتُهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Aishah (may Allah be pleased with her) that while she was in her howdah, she saw a man passing by and said: "I have never seen a man who resembled Abu Bakr more than this man." It was said to her: Describe Abu Bakr to us. She said: "He was a fair-complexioned, slender man with a light beard and a bent back; his waist-wrapper would not stay on his waist but would slip down from his hips; his face was lean, his eyes deep-set, his forehead prominent, and the joints of his fingers bare of flesh. This was his description."
