حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا جَرِيرٌ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ رِبْعِيِّ بْنِ حِرَاشٍ، عَنِ امْرَأَتِهِ، عَنْ أُخْتِ حُذَيْفَةَ، قَالَتْ: خَطَبَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَحَمِدَ اللهَ وَأَثْنَى عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ قَالَ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ النِّسَاءِ أَمَا لَكُنَّ فِي الْفِضَّةِ مَا تَحَلَّيْنَ بِهِ، إِنَّهُ لَيْسَ مِنِ امْرَأَةٍ تَحَلَّى ذَهَبًا تُظْهِرُهُ إِلَّا عُذِّبَتْ بِهِ»
Sayyidah Khawlah bint al-Yaman al-Absiyyah (may Allah be pleased with her), the sister of Hudhayfah (may Allah be pleased with him), said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) addressed us, praised Allah and extolled Him, then said: "O women, is silver not sufficient for you to adorn yourselves with? There is no woman who wears gold and displays it but she will be punished for it."
