حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَعْشَرٍ الْبَرَاءُ، ثنا الْمُثَنَّى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بَابَيْهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ الْجَارُودَ أَبَا الْمُنْذِرِ، أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الضَّوَالِّ، فَقَالَ: «ضَالَّةُ الْمُسْلِمِ حَرْقُ النَّارِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna al-Jarud Abu al-Mundhir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about stray animals, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The stray property of a Muslim is a burning of the Fire."
