It is narrated from Sayyidah Asma' bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) that whenever a woman suffering from fever was brought to her, she would order that water be poured over her, and she would say: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Fever is from the steaming heat of Hell, so cool it with water."
