Sayyidah Asma bint Abi Bakr (may Allah be pleased with her) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ascended the pulpit and said: "O people! The sun and the moon are two of the signs of Allah; they are not eclipsed for the death or the life of anyone. When you see that, hasten to prayer, charity and the remembrance of Allah. And I have seen fifty thousand of you, or seventy thousand (the narrator Fulayh was unsure), entering Paradise without reckoning; they will be in the form of the moon on the night it is full." A man stood up and said: Pray to Allah to make me one of them. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Allah, make him one of them. O people! You will not ask me about anything that has been revealed except that I will inform you of it." Then a man stood up and said: Who is my father? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Your father is so-and-so", that is, he attributed him to the father to whom he was already known to be ascribed.
