Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 206 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «مَا كَانَتْ نُبُوَّةٌ قَطُّ إِلَّا كَانَ بَعْدَهَا قَتْلٌ وَصَلْبٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "There has never been a prophethood except that after it came an era of killing and crucifixion."
