Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 204 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: Part

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «إِنَّ مِنَ التَّوَاضُعِ لِلَّهِ الرِّضَا بِالدُّونِ مِنْ شَرَفِ الْمَجَالِسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Talhah (may Allah be pleased with him); he said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Part of humility for the sake of Allah is to be content with a lower place in a gathering rather than a place of honour."
