حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ صَالِحِ بْنِ الْوَلِيدِ النَّرْسِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا أَبُو عَامِرٍ، ثنا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ طَهْمَانَ، عَنْ بُدَيْلِ بْنِ مَيْسَرَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ بِنْتِ شَيْبَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، قَالَ: «لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرَأَةٍ أَنْ تُحِدَّ فَوْقَ ثَلَاثَةِ أَيَّامٍ إِلَّا امْرَأَةً عَلَى زَوْجِهَا أَرْبَعَةَ أَشْهُرٍ وَعَشْرًا»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "It is not permissible for a woman to mourn for more than three days, except for a woman (mourning) her husband for four months and ten days."
