Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20279 — Ya'la bin Mamlak relates: I asked

حَدَّثَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ عِمْرَانَ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ بْنُ خَلَفٍ الْجُوبَارِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ مَمْلَكٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ أُمَّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ صَلَاةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِاللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَتْ: «كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْعِشَاءَ ثُمَّ يُسَبِّحُ مَا شَاءَ اللهُ أَنْ يُسَبِّحَ ثُمَّ يَنَامُ ثُمَّ يَسْتَيْقِظُ مِثْلَ نَوْمَتِهِ، ثُمَّ يَنَامُ وَيَقُومُ، فَتَكُونُ تِلْكَ صَلَاتَهُ إِلَى الصُّبْحِ»
Ya'la bin Mamlak relates: I asked Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) about the night prayer of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and she said: "He (peace and blessings be upon him) would pray Isha, then glorify Allah as much as Allah willed, then sleep, then wake up after as long as he had slept, then sleep and get up again; and his (peace and blessings be upon him) prayer remained like this until the morning."
