حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدٌ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: " إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقْرَأُ: {بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ} [الفاتحة: ٢] "، يَعْنِي حَرْفًا حَرْفًا،
Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite "Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Rahim" (In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful), "Al-hamdu lillahi Rabbil-'alamin" (All praise is for Allah, the Lord of all the worlds) [Al-Fatihah: 2] slowly and deliberately, pronouncing each word separately.
