Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 20208 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: You

حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ هِشَامِ بْنِ عُرْوَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ زَيْنَبَ بِنْتِ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنَّكُمْ تَخْتَصِمُونَ، وَإِنَّمَا أَنَا بَشَرٌ، وَلَعَلَّ بَعْضَكُمْ أَنْ يَكُونَ أَلْحَنَ بِحُجَّتِهِ مِنْ بَعْضٍ، فَإِنَّمَا أَقْضِي بَيْنَكُمْ عَلَى نَحْوِ مَا أَسْمَعُ مِنْكُمْ، فَمَنْ قَضَيْتُ لَهُ مِنْ حَقِّ أَخِيهِ شَيْئًا، فَلَا يَأْخُذُهُ، فَإِنَّمَا أَقْطَعُ لَهُ قِطْعَةً مِنْ نَارِ جَهَنَّمَ يَأْتِي بِهَا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ» .
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You dispute with one another, and I am only a human being. Perhaps one of you is more eloquent in presenting his argument than another, and I judge between you according to what I hear from you. So whoever I judge in favour of with something of his brother's right, let him not take it, for I am only cutting off for him a piece of the fire of Hell which he will bring on the Day of Resurrection."
