حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْبَجَلِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْأَشَجُّ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، حَدَّثَنِي رَزِينٌ، حَدَّثَتْنِي سَلْمَى، قَالَتْ: دَخَلْتُ عَلَى أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ وَهِيَ تَبْكِي، فَقُلْتُ: مَا يُبْكِيكِ؟، فَقَالَتْ: رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، يَعْنِي فِي الْمَنَامِ، وَعَلَى رَأْسِهِ وَلِحْيَتِهِ التُّرَابُ، فَقُلْتُ: مَا لَكَ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ؟، فَقَالَ: «شَهِدْتُ قَتْلَ الْحُسَيْنِ آنِفًا»
Salma (may Allah have mercy on her) said: I went in to Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) and she was weeping. I asked: "What makes you weep?" She said: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that is, in a dream, and there was dust on his (peace and blessings be upon him) head and beard. I said: 'O Messenger of Allah, what has happened to you?' He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'I have just now witnessed the killing of Husayn.'"
