حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا يَحْيَى، وَعُثْمَانُ، قَالَا: ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ مَوْلَى الصَّهْبَاءِ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَوْلَهُ: {لَا يَعْصِينَكَ فِي مَعْرُوفٍ} [الممتحنة: ١٢] ، قَالَ: «النَّوْحُ»
It is narrated from Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) that, concerning this saying of Allah Almighty: "And they will not disobey you in anything good" [Surah al-Mumtahanah: 12], it is narrated from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What is meant by it is wailing (over the dead)."
